SOME BACKGROUND
Famously, I’ve always hated working. So having a website feels CRAYzy. It’s probably not a big deal to most, but if we were to rewind the clock a few years, y’all wouldn’t see this for me.
Before 2022…
There was a brief attempt at politics - even moved to D.C. - lol. Followed by a stint as a receptionist at a bank - also lol. (First Republic Bank for the girls who remember!)
Then came 2022: two days sober, unemployed, and 27 years old, standing on the corner of Haight & Ashbury, annoyed as hell. Pretty sure that’s what people call rock bottom! The pandemic had snuffed out so many businesses in San Francisco, particularly on Haight St.
Except!
For one bright blue store with a help-wanted sign taped to the glass entrance. Aviator Nation??? I had never heard of the place. Walked inside with a resume, and the rest is history.
What was supposed to be a quick pit stop back to the corporate world turned into a year and a half of folding sweatpants. I probably should have gone back, but for the first time in a long time, I was happy
Eventually, that led to Wasteland.
It was a cycle of ups, downs, and ups and downs again - rediscovering who I was while getting bossed around by women dressed in Sandy Liang, Chanel, and Ann Demeulemeester. That entire saga deserves way more than a website blurb, but without that buy counter and the freedom to dress however I want, I probably wouldn’t be a stylist today - sooo s/o to that job!
I refer to the period as "Haight St. University" because in many ways it felt like a 2nd chance.
I’ve got goals now, and low-key hitting some of them??? At this point, I’m just having fun and seeing just how far this thing can go.

P.S. Yes, I am actually from Texas. Dumb depending on the day.
